About Dalgety Players:-
       
               The club was formed in 1976 after a meeting in the old (wooden) church hall
         and was constituted in 1981.

           The group aims to promote interest in amateur entertaniment in the community
         and is sponsored by Dalgety Parish Church.
 
         The present pantomime is the club's 31st  annual pantomime.
              While the club's involvement with pantomime is perhaps it's best known genre,
         it is involved with many other forms of drama and comedy.
       
              The club have a production every autumn: normally a full-length play or
         occasionally an evening of one-act plays. The club also enters the
         Scottish Community Drama Association drama festivals.
       
               Over the years the club has staged variety and revue shows such as its summer
         'End of the Pier Show' shows and also shows for specified charities.
         The Club also took part in three Historical Masques.
         Those of Dunfermline, 800 anniversary of Dalgety Parish Church and
         the 25th anniversary of the new town of Dalgety Bay.

             *  Brush with a Body
              *  Wild Goose Chase
              *  Post Horn Gallop
               *  Breath of Spring
              *  Too Soon for Daisies Out of Focus
               *  Wanted One Body

               *  And two musicals :-    *  Grease  and
                *  Guys and Dolls (in Inverkeithing High School Hall)
       
                Over the years club members have been in demand in other spheres.
         At least five of the current cast have appeared as extras in TV and films. 
         Others have gone on to make a career in showbusiness.
